Manager, Workforce Management (UKG Pro WFM)

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Manager, Workforce Management to lead the strategy, configuration, and optimization of our time and attendance platforms. Acting as the primary subject matter expert, you will oversee the UKG Pro Workforce Management (formerly UKG Dimensions) system and its legacy antecedents.

This role requires a unique blend of technical mastery and leadership. You will manage a team of analysts, and partner directly with business operations to solve complex scheduling and pay rule challenges, and ensure the stability and evolution of our workforce technology ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

1. System Strategy & Administration

  • Serve as the system owner for UKG Pro Workforce Management, serving as the bridge between technical configuration and operational business needs.
  • Manage the full lifecycle of the WFM platform, including advanced configuration of Pay Rules, Work Rules, Accruals profiles, Scheduler, Forecasting, and Attendance profiles.
  • Lead migration or integration efforts to modern UKG Pro WFM cloud solutions or other platforms if/when applicable.
  • Oversee system governance, security profiles, and access rights to ensure data integrity and compliance.

2. Team Leadership & Support

  • Manage and mentor a team of WFM analysts and administrators; oversee task distribution, performance reviews, and professional development.
  • Establish and monitor Service Level Agreements (SLAs) for ticket resolution and support inquiries.
  • Act as the final point of escalation for complex technical issues that Level 1/2 support cannot resolve.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and documentation within the WFM team.

3. Business Partnership & Enhancements

  • Partner with HR, Payroll, Finance, and Operations leaders to gather requirements for new business enhancements and process improvements.
  • Translate complex labor laws and union collective bargaining agreements (CBAs) into functional system configurations.
  • Manage the release cycle for UKG updates: review release notes, assess impact, and coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for new features.
  • Design and deliver training materials or "train-the-trainer" sessions for major system changes.

4. Integrations & Reporting

  • Collaborate with the HRIS team to ensure seamless data flow between UKG Pro WFM and the core HCM/Payroll system (specifically Workday).
  • Troubleshoot integration errors (Dell Boomi, WIM, or API based) and ensure accurate data synchronization for employee demographics and payroll exports.
  • Develop and maintain BI reports and dashboards to provide leadership with actionable labor data.

Qualifications

Required Experience

  • 10+ years of hands-on experience in Workforce Management systems, specifically with Kronos Workforce Central (WFC) and UKG Pro Workforce Management (Dimensions).
  • Proven experience in a leadership or management role, overseeing direct reports and managing project timelines.
  • Deep technical expertise in configuring Pay Rules, Accruals, and Advanced Scheduling.
  • Strong understanding of payroll processes, labor compliance (FLSA), and union environments.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Workday HCM and Payroll, specifically regarding integrations with external timekeeping systems.
  • Experience with UKG Integration tools (Dell Boomi or WIM).
  • Project Management certification (PMP) or Agile methodology experience.
  • UKG/Kronos system certifications.

Core Competencies

  • Problem Solving: Ability to troubleshoot complex pay calculation errors and configuration conflicts.
  • Communication: Strong ability to explain technical WFM concepts to non-technical business stakeholders.
  • Adaptability: Ability to manage multiple high-priority projects in a fast-paced environment.

If you feel this opportunity could be the next step in your career, we encourage you to apply.
