The Geologist is responsible for the development and execution of strategies related to mine operations and raw material management. This includes, but is not limited to, mine administration, production planning, safety, and quality assurance. The role also provides technical support to sourcing and environmental functions, contributes to central initiatives, and drives raw material development efforts aimed at improving sustainability and product quality. The Geologist plays a key role in long-term planning and efficiency improvements across the organization.

 

Main targets are:

  • Ensure effective mine administration and planning in compliance with Finnish mining legislation and permitting requirements.
  • Support safe, efficient, and high-quality mining operations through strategic production planning and adherence to safety and environmental standards.
  • Provide geological expertise to sourcing teams, including evaluation of both primary and secondary raw materials, with a focus on sustainability and compliance.
  • Act as a material subject matter expert, particularly in melt chemistry, to support product development and raw material performance.
  • Collaborate with environmental and central functions to ensure regulatory compliance and contribute to long-term development and operational efficiency.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Masters or Bachelors degree in Geology or Mineralogy
