Where you’ll work:


Depending on the needs of your business area, we expect hub based people to be in the office at least once a week, and to go to OVO Connection events in-person. 


You’ll be assigned to the closest one of our three hub offices, Bristol, Glasgow, or London; unless your role requires field-based work. Each hub has accessible spaces to park your laptop, is designed to inspire people, help them connect and bring big ideas to life.

This role sits in a fast paced and autonomous corporate venture called OVO Solar & Heating, whose remit is to re-establish and grow OVO’s renewables business. The business was launched in March 2025 on a highly innovative Franchising business model, and within 4 months outpaced OVO’s best ever monthly solar sales. By the end of 2027, the unit is expected to be one of the largest solar & heat pump installation companies in the UK.


 


This role in a nutshell:


As a Content & Brand Manager,  you’ll level-up how OVO Solar & Heating presents itself to customers - clearly, credibly and at scale. This is a 12-month contract role and reports directly to the Head of Revenue.


 


Your key outcomes will be:


Brand & narrative ownership



  • Refine our UVPs and ensure they’re clear across all customer touchpoints (e.g. website, email comms, quote pack, marketing campaigns, etc.) - make them bold, engaging and consistent

  • Hold the pen on our comms plan - what we talk about, when and where - including seasonal campaigns, channel strategy, etc.


Content strategy to drive growth



  • Define the strategy for how we use content to drive growth

  • Create engaging content for chosen channels

  • Run activity across selected channels e.g. Meta, Youtube, LinkedIn, Blogs etc. 

  • Longer term, deliver larger campaigns + stunts with the wider OVO energy


Asset building to support growth initiatives



  • Support content creation (visual + written word) for marketing campaigns, partnerships, and digital collateral across the Revenue, Product, Tech & Operations teams


Facilitate Franchisees to do local marketing well



  • Maintain a playbook for what “good” looks like in local marketing

  • Provide templates, guidance, and guardrails for franchisees

  • Act as an advisor and sounding board for local teams

  • Monitor quality and ensure compliance with contractual terms


 


A successful Content & Brand Manager at OVO…



  • Pragmatic, resourceful and fast-moving - happy to operate in an ambiguous environment and make judgement calls

  • Delivery focused - biased toward shipping complete, usable outputs, not just ideas or drafts.

  • Customer-first mindset - optimise content for clarity, customer understanding, and commercial impact

  • Enabler by default, enforcer by exception — support, unblock and accelerate in almost all cases, only policing where there is clear and significant risk

  • Demonstrable experience in fast moving start-up environments (ideally B2C)

  • Content creation capability, producing high-quality written and visually appealing assets (e.g. ad banners, customer comms, social posts, website copy, etc.)

  • Experience executing multi-channel marketing initiatives, with the judgement to prioritise the channels and messages that drive commercial impact

  • Comfortable operating as an individual contributor working across multiple stakeholders (e.g. internal teams, franchisees, product, etc.)

We’ll pay you between £55,000 - £65,000, depending on your specific skills and experience.

You’ll be eligible for an on-target bonus of 15%. We have one OVO bonus plan that focuses on the collective performance of our people to deliver our Plan Zero goal.
