Shift:

3rd Shift:  10:45pm - 7:15am with daily and weekend OT as needed.

 

Pay Rate: $31.00

Plus Shift Differential for 3rd Shift:  $2.00 per hour

Job Description:

The position will be responsible for the set-up and operation of PVC machines in accordance with established procedures and guidelines.  The position may assume additional duties as assigned.  The successful incumbent will be detail oriented, able to follow instructions well, and work well in a team atmosphere. 

 

Education / Experience / Certifications:

  • High school diploma or GED not required but preferred
  • Previous experience in Thermo-forming operation preferred but not required

 

Activities / Tasks: 

  1. Interpret blueprints and engineering drawings correctly
  2. Sets-up and operates machines in accordance with established procedures and guidelines
  3. Adjusts machine settings to complete tasks according to specification, accurately and in a timely fashion
  4. Assists in performing trouble shooting on machine when needed
  5. Inspects finished products
  6. Changes molds as needed
  7. Use hand tools, measuring tape, and machine equipment safely and effectively
  8. For assigned zone, pick up all trash, sweep area, and perform any other cleaning as needed
  9. Perform a first piece inspection at the beginning of every shift
  10. Complete a first article inspection sheet at the start of every order to ensure product is at proper dimensions
  11. Inspect finished product with every pallet made

 

Skills and Abilities: 

  • Ability to adapt to change and flex his/her work at appropriate times so as to support the manufacturing process
  • Ability to use other hand tools (both manual and pneumatic) correctly and safely
  • Ability to apply shop mathematics to solve problems
  • Ability to plan work and select proper tools
  • Ability to read a tape measure in metric and imperial standards
  • Ability to compare and accurately determine difference in size, shape, and form of objects
  • Ability to work within precise limits and/or standards of accuracy
  • Ability to interpret build orders and engineering drawings correctly
  • Ability to drive a fork lift
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Ability to work well with others
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • Ability to follow and understand directions

  • Lifting up to 50 pounds; 50+ pounds with assistance
  • Sitting, standing, walking, bending, grasping, pushing, pulling, crawling, climbing, twisting, reaching, working at heights, and using a ladder as required

  • Perform repetitive motions
  • Plant environment with potential exposure to all types of weather, including excessive heat, excessive cold, and excessive noise
