Radiation Oncology is a fast-paced clinic with 10 attending physicians and 4 midlevel providers. Our team collaborates with a variety of disciplines and other departments to provide care to patients considering radiation, currently receiving radiation, and those who have previously been treated with radiation therapy.
Radiation Oncology Nurses have a hybrid role as both a clinic nurse and a procedural nurse. Our nursing team serves to pre-op patients, circulate during procedures, and recover patients post procedure for various radiation treatment procedures that require anesthesia. Our nurses work closely with the provider and anesthesia team to deliver care. Our clinic also provides radiation treatment to those that are currently inpatient at an OU Health facility if required.
