General Description: Under general direction, works within the Department of Patient Safety & Regulatory Accreditation to independently facilitate and oversee projects at OU Health facilities. Responsible for managing the Patient Safety Evaluation System (PSES), analyzing safety events, and supporting risk mitigation efforts. Environment of Care (EOC) compliance and survey-readiness projects, as assigned by the leadership team. Coordinates efforts within the Patient Safety & Regulatory Accreditation Team and with other stakeholders across OU Health.
Essential Responsibilities:

Possess and utilize Regulatory Accreditation knowledge and readiness research on the topics.
Support and coordinate daily triage/escalation of Patient Safety events to the PSRMs or the respective manager.
Coordinate data for presentations, such as but not limited to Quality and/or Executive Leadership meeting slide preparation.
Oversee Performance Improvement Process related to Environment of Care compliance.
Develop and distribute Environment of Care compliance tools to managers, directors, and staff for continuous survey readiness.
Coordinate multidisciplinary Environment of Care rounds.
Build weekly dashboards for rounds in “CMS rounding” software.
Ensure each finding has documented follow-up and completion by the involved unit directors.
Conduct compliance audits to ensure sustainability with action plans.
Serve as a liaison between OUH and regulatory agencies during on-site survey activity.
Oversee logistics for recruiting and training guides/scribes, scheduling conference rooms, and ensuring surveyors are expected to speak with OUH staff.
Manage inbox of the Regulatory Accreditation & Patient Safety team to coordinate the escalation pathway appropriately.
Assist in scheduling events via Microsoft Outlook.
Assist with surveys as requested by leadership within the Patient Safety & Regulatory umbrella, in multiple ways such as but not limited to: guide & scribe, driver, and/or command center utilization.
Coordinate review of regulatory documents for the leadership team, such as corrective action plans, newsletters, educational material, and/or applications.
Call fill-in for a PSRM if assigned.
General Responsibilities:
Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education: Associates degree required.
Experience: Three years of healthcare experience required.
License(s)/Certification(s)/Registrations(s): Current RN or LPN license issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing, or multistate compact, required. Current Basic Life Support issued by the American Heart Association required .
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge of clinical health care, evidence-based practice, and research.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
Strong skills in data measurements, analysis, and presentation.
Ability to maintain effective working relationships with others.
Detail-oriented.
Excellent organizational skills.
Strong computer skills to include proficiency in Microsoft products.
