Overview
Responsibilities
- Operates small and medium size cars, passenger vans, cargo vehicles to transport passengers, material or supplies
- Inspects, services and cleans vehicles
- Interacts positively with residents, family members, visitors, and other partners under a variety of conditions and circumstances
- Pumps gasoline and diesel fuel, checks oil, water and other fluid levels, provides routine under the hood service inspections
- Performs routine clean-up operations in the service area and transportation building shop areas, such as sweeping and washing floors
Qualifications
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
Licensure/Certification: Valid Ohio Driver’s License and CDL required.
Experience: Three years of car or small van driving or equivalent vehicle experience required
Skills: Ability to drive a manual transmission vehicle required; ability to do pre-trip inspection of vehicle; ability to communicate courteously and effectively with residents and other partners required; ability to find locations using standard and/or electronic road maps as well as written and verbal directions
