Overview

S2 Global, an OSI Systems Company, is seeking Sr. Technical Program Manager based remotely in the United States.

Focused on Operations, Integration and Training, S2 Global’s solutions ensure that customers have the advanced technologies and sophisticated techniques to significantly increase their screening capabilities.

 

The Sr. Technical Program Manager will be supervising, planning and organizing activities as well as managing the implementation of complex business requirements and processes. Manage customer expectations throughout the delivery while managing scope and risk project profitability issues. Partner with programming team to estimate effort required to deliver the various proposed solutions, keeping in mind the difficulty of construction and the nature of the particular customer environment.


Responsibilities

  • Project Management tasks such as; Documenting meeting minutes, decisions, and action items for publishing to the project team. Following-up and closure of action items.
  • Maintaining and monitoring project plans and schedules. Communication of project status, etc.
  • Utilizes industry-accepted project management principles and firm-established project management tools and processes to direct project teams in the definition, planning and execution of technical projects crossing multiple disciplines and geographies.
  • Consult with management and review project proposals to determine goals, time frame, funding limitations, procedures for accomplishing project, and allocation of resources.
  • Works with project customers, project sponsors, business analysts, customer relationship managers, and project team members in the planning and execution of large-scale IT software projects.
  • Work closely with end users, business technologists, and others to understand and prioritize business goals and information needs.
  • Coordinate with other project resources such as customer IT staff, infrastructure provider, service teams, documentation teams, test teams etc.
  • Utilizes industry-accepted methodologies and processes to bring projects in on schedule, within budget, and to the customer's requirements.
  • Responsible for identifying and managing project risk factors, negotiating and implementing customer change requests, and tracking and reporting project progress.
  • Confer with project personnel to provide technical, business, or functional advice and resolve problems.
  • Develop and maintain technical and project documentation.

Qualifications

  • Requires a Bachelor's Degree, or other STEM related degree or an equivalent in education and experience is required.
  • PMI/PMP certification or other Project Management professional development certification.
  • 8+ years of related experience and formal project management training.
  • Experienced with technical project management, web development projects, applications development, Java and .Net, and various platforms is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of networking protocols, cloud networking, and data center infrastructure.
  • Understanding of firewalls, network segmentation, and cyber security best practices.
  • Required to complete US federal background check, drug screen, and meet requirements for access to US government facilities and/or government IT networks; terms of federal contracts require US citizenship.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.
  • Good judgement and prioritization skills.
  • Highly motivated and energetic individual.
  • Attention to detail, time management, and organization skills.
  • Proven analytical abilities.
  • Practical experience generating process documentation and reports.
  • Excellent communicator with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
  • Travel may likely exceed 50%
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain an active US Government security clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong working knowledge of relevant Microsoft applications, including Visio, Excel, Project, and Word.
  • Experienced with technical project management, web development projects, applications development, and various platforms.
  • Cloud knowledge and experience in AWS, Azure.
  • Experience with Agile is a plus.
  • Proven capabilities in project and user-testing management.
  • Proven development of innovative and impactful systems solutions.
  • Extensive experience with data visualization.
  • Highly proficient technical writing capabilities.

 Nice to have:

  • Agile training and development experience such as Certified Scrum Master (CSM)
  • Evidence of continuing education, such as certifications, a plus
