Role Overview
We are seeking a detail‑driven and proactive Expediter to support our Supply Chain function. In this role, you will ensure the timely movement of materials, maintain accurate records, and collaborate closely with vendors and internal teams to meet operational requirements. You will play a key part in keeping production and procurement activities running smoothly by updating shortage reports, managing purchase order progress, and ensuring our MRP system (Navision) reflects real‑time data.
This role requires strong communication, exceptional organisational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
Supply Chain & Procurement Support
- Proactively chase and expedite materials to meet business SLAs.
- Maintain up‑to‑date shortage reports and ensure all changes are accurately reflected in Navision.
- Track orders from placement through to delivery, ensuring timely progress updates.
Vendor & Logistics Coordination
- Communicate effectively with vendors, shippers, and transport companies to prevent delays.
- Resolve issues related to product quality, delivery discrepancies, or supplier performance.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with assigned vendors while managing purchase orders.
Quality & Documentation
- Verify shipment dates and ensure correct shipping paperwork and invoices are processed accurately.
- Inspect incoming goods to confirm quality standards and correct quantities.
- Arrange material distribution upon arrival.
Reporting & Compliance
- Produce meaningful performance metrics and supply chain reporting.
- Ensure full compliance with Rapiscan’s functional, business, and ethical policies.
- Represent the company professionally in all external interactions.
