JOB SUMMARY:

The Cycle Counter will be responsible for counting material and product inventory balances. This role will research inventory on hand count variances through JD Edwards displays and hard copy transaction documents to identify cause of errors. The objective of this role is to maintain the inventory levels to prevent reoccurring errors and keep inventory levels accurate to support delivery of parts to the correct place, time, and quantity.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:  

These duties are not meant to be all-inclusive and other duties may be assigned.

  • Count and reconcile the in-house inventory balances and the off-site supplier inventory.
  • Research and determine cause of errors and communicate errors using the corrective action form.
  • Conduct a monthly bill of materials, back flush deduction, and location maintenance audits.
  • End of life part maintenance and disposition.
  • Troubleshoot and rectify inventory issues that arise.
  • Address any accounting or purchasing problems and respond accordingly.
  • Assist internal and external auditors.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:   

  • High School Diploma or its equivalent.
  • Two (2) or more years of experience in a high-volume warehouse or a related area.
  • Forklift Certification.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • Experience in shipping and receiving materials or products.
  • Order Picker/Swing Reach experience.
  • Proficient written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience and proficiency with various web-based software applications including Microsoft Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, etc.
  • Knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, preferably JD Edwards

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Physical Demands: Frequent Standing, Walking/Running, Hearing, Talking, Visual, Manual Dexterity; Occasional Sitting, Reaching, Driving, Bending/Kneeling, Typing, Fine Dexterity, Upper Extremity Repetitive Motion, Lifting/Carrying up to 35ilbs., and Pushing/Pulling up to 50lbs.
  • Non-Physical Demands: Frequent Analysis/Reasoning, Communication/Interpretation, Math/Mental Computation, Sustained Mental Activity (i.e., auditing, problem solving, grant writing, composing reports, etc.); Occasional Reading, Writing.
  • Environmental Demands: Occasional Work Alone, Loud Noises; Seldom Task Changes, Tedious/Exacting Work, High Volume Public Contact, Dust.
  • Work Schedule:  Routine shift hours. Infrequent overtime, weekend, or shift rotation.
  • Demands/Deadlines: Little or no stress created by work, employees, or public.
