Expected pay for this position is $17.66-$19.63/hour. Actual pay will be determined by experience, skill, and internal equity.
POSITION SUMMARY: The Lead Nutrition Assistant is responsible for leading the patient meal service aspects of the Food & Nutrition Services operations. They will act as a primary resource and go-to for all food and nutrition staff including, patient, non-patient, dietary and food production to ensure effective operations. They are the key contact for handling and trouble-shooting employee, service and operational matters when the management team is off-duty. Position provides high quality dining experience to patients which meets their nutritional requirements and service expectations regarding temperature, timeliness and food quality. Oversee room service operation including staff, safety and sanitation.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: • High School graduate or equivalent • Two years food service experience in a healthcare setting. • Licensure/Certifications: Posses ServSafe Sanitation Certification within 6 months of hire.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: • One plus years’ experience acting in a lead role with responsibility for effective food service operations. Other skills/knowledge: Critical thinking, problem-solving, communication and interpersonal skills, Basic computer proficiency skills including Microsoft applications and Internet. Knowledge of health care regulatory, safety and sanitation requirements.
