Expected pay for this position is $18.98 - $22.34/hour. Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills and internal equity. This is an Hourly position.


 

Sign On Bonus $1200.00, 1 year work commitment. 


Overview

POSITION SUMMARY: The Patient Care Technician/Certified Nursing Assistant (PCT/CNA) provides appropriate safe basic care to patients which includes taking vital signs, assisting patients with activities of daily living, specimen collection, and observation of patients for physical/emotional changes. Other duties include recording pertinent information in patient charts, communicating with other Patient Care Team members to ensure continuity of care, and may function in a role providing constant supervision to patients as needed. Duties may vary according to department expectations and needs.

UNIT OVERVIEW: 

 

OSF HealthCare Divine Mercy Continuing Care Hospital provides compassionate care for patients who need extra support as they transition from one care setting to the next. The hospital offers all-private rooms and houses a 29-bed acute rehabilitation unit for individuals recovering from acute injuries, impairments, or illnesses. The hospital provides 24-hour clinical care seven days a week in both rehabilitation and long-term acute care settings. The care team, led by physicians, conducts daily visits to review and assess each patient's condition, aiming to support their journey to wellness. OSF Divine Mercy Continuing Care Hospital offers a range of specialized care services, including but not limited to Diabetes Services, IV Antibiotic and Intravenous Therapy, Palliative Care, Post-Intensive Care Syndrome, Prolonged Mechanical Ventilation, Pulmonary Care, Rehabilitation Services, Stroke and Brain Injury Care, Wound Care, and additional types of care tailored to meet complex medical needs.

 

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

 

  • CNA-Certified Nurses Assistant
  • CPR American Heart Association HealthCare Provider BLS

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

 

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Six months experience in a clinical healthcare environment.
  • Six months experience in supporting physical, emotional and psycho-social needs of patients.
