Expected pay for this position is $27.26 - $32.06/hour. Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills and internal equity. This is an Hourly position.


Overview

POSITION SUMMARY: The Certified Ophthalmic Technician (COT) plays a vital role in supporting the Ophthalmologist by performing a wide range of diagnostic tests and eye measurements. This position is responsible for gathering essential clinical data to assist in the evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of patients with ocular conditions. The Certified Opthalmic Technician ensures high-quality patient care while helping to maintain an efficient clinical workflow.


Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Education: High School Diploma/GED

Experience: 2 years’ experience in an Ophthalmology practice.

 

Licensure/ Certification: Current Certified Ophthalmic Assistant.

Must obtain Certified Ophthalmic Technician (COT) Certification through the IJCAHPO within 3 years of hire date.  Must obtain BLS - American Heart Association, within 3 months of hire date.

 

Other Skills/ Knowledge: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to be detail oriented.
