Expected pay for this position is $55.20 - $63.65/hour. Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills and internal equity. This is a Salaried position.


Overview

Overview: 

  • The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) Infusion Services is a member of a collaborative team who is responsible for providing care to a diverse population of patients seeking oncology services.
  • Respond to simultaneous infusion reactions across multiple pods.
  • Respond and support Radiology Nursing during Medical Alert Events involving contrast reactions in CT department.
  • Support and monitor Phase I clinical trial patients.
  • Assist with ongoing therapy plan and medication order reviews.
  • Maintain compliance with safety standards and investigational drug protocols
  • Strengthen continuity of care for oncology and non-oncology infusion populations.
  • Serves as a resource for staff education and supports the development of care standards and protocols.
  • Provide daily clinical coverage Monday–Friday, including PTO coverage for current Provider.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Education: Master’s Degree in Nursing or Physician Assistant
  • Licensure/ Certification:
    • American Heart Association HealthCare Provider BLS
    • Licensed by the Federal Drug Enforcement Administration and State of Illinois for prescribing of narcotics.
    • Illinois Registered Nurse License and Illinois Advanced Practice Nurse License
    • Illinois Physician Assistant License (if applicable)
  • Other Skills/ Knowledge:
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
    • Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to be detail oriented.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience: Infusion Services or Oncology Experience

  • Clinical base hourly pay range for this position: $55.20-$63.65. This is a salaried position.
    • Range shown should be used as an estimate and can be impacted by many factors including but not limited to the critical need of the position, overall experience and qualifications, community need, and other considerations. Additional compensation components may be applicable such as bonuses or incentives which may or may not be based on metric achievement.

 

OSF Healthcare Cancer Institute

  • The Cancer Institute welcomed our first patient in February 2024. We estimate that this 200,000 square foot modern building will serve 3,700 cancer patients annually.
  • Patients will find infusion facilities, dietary guidance, diagnostic testing, cancer support services, surgery and radiation therapy all on campus. 
  • Our cancer experts collaborate to develop a tailored treatment plan to meet patients’ medical and emotional needs. We focus on the whole person, providing a patient-centered experience.

  • Accreditation include American College of Surgeons - Commission on Cancer (CoC), National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers (NAPBC), a national program overseen by the American College of Surgeons.
  • Recognition of excellence by National Accreditation Program for Rectal Cancer (NAPRC), American College of Radiography in breast ultrasound, computed tomography (CT), mammography, MRI, nuclear medicine and ultrasound
