Position Summary:

As a Neurotechnologist Technician I, you will perform electro neurodiagnostic testing, including Electroencephalograms (EEG) or nerve conduction studies, under the supervision of the Neurodiagnostic Manager. This role involves working with patients of all ages and assisting with all aspects of testing.

 

Essential Functions:

  • Perform quality routine EEGs, EEGs suspected in electrocerebral silence, and nerve conduction studies for patients of all ages.
  • Greet patients and clearly explain testing procedures.
  • Facilitate all aspects of the study, including obtaining patient history, completing paperwork, charging, and archiving.
  • Troubleshoot equipment, maintain inventory, and restock supplies.
  • Provide care based on diagnostic knowledge appropriate for the age and condition of patients.
  • Demonstrate ability to assess and interpret patient data.
  • Keep current with best practices and techniques through continuing education.

Education/Training:

  • Required: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Preferred: Completion of an AMA-accredited training program in Electroencephalographic Technology, Electrodiagnostics, or Electroneurodiagnostics.
  • Alternate Qualification: One (1) year of clinical experience in the electroneurodiagnostic field and demonstration of clinical competencies may substitute for the training program (in addition to the required experience).

Licensure/Certification:

  • Required: Current BLS/HealthCare Provider Certification.

Experience:

  • No prior experience required, but any relevant experience is a plus.
