Orla Mining is striving to be the emerging gold producer of choice with a geographically diversified asset base, a prospective development and exploration portfolio, an experienced management team with a successful track record, and a high-quality board and shareholder base.


 Orla operates the Camino Rojo Oxide Gold Mine, a gold and silver open-pit heap leach mine, located in Zacatecas State, Central Mexico. This low-cost operation is 100% owned by Orla, covers over 139,000 hectares, and includes a large sulphide mineral endowment located beneath the oxide resources. We are also advancing permitting and development on our South Railroad Project, a feasibility-stage, open-pit heap leach project located on the prolific Carlin trend in Nevada. This project is part of our larger South Carlin Complex, which includes a prospective land package. We recently acquired the Musselwhite Mine located in Northern Ontario on Lake Opapimiskan, a gold mine with more than 25 years of operating history. The addition of Musselwhite has allowed Orla to more than double our gold production and provide strategic entry into a Tier 1 mining jurisdiction. The Musselwhite Mine is highly prospective with potential to expand resources and mine life for years to come.

Purpose:

 

We are seeking a dedicated Mobile Maintenance Supervisor to join our Maintenance Department, reporting directly to the Musselwhite Mobile Maintenance Superintendent.

 

Responsibilities include:

 

  • Manage the implementation of standards, targets, policies and plans to ensure continuing and increasing
  • operational efficiency, effectiveness and profitability.
  • Supervise, coordinate, and monitor routine maintenance of stationary equipment.
  • Provide direction and support to all staff members and contracted service personnel through morning line-up meetings, daily visitation to work in progress, and regular feedback regarding work performance.
  • Collaborate with the Mobile Maintenance Planners & Schedulers to ensure consensus on resources
  • required to execute planned work for both surface and underground.
  • Ensure employees are following all Company policies/procedures and safety regulations.
  • Ensure personnel development through varied job assignments, training, and employee involvement.
  • Safety: conduct weekly toolbox meetings; perform shop inspections at the beginning of each shift.
  • Provide timely, accurate and well-communicated shift reports and summaries for cross-shift and turnaround needs.

 

Education and Experience:

 

  • College Diploma and/or Trades Certification with 6 to 10 years of experience in a maintenance related field.
  • Three (3) to 6 years supervisory experience.
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills with internal and external contacts.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite and manufacturing systems.
  • Strong background in CMMS.
  • Attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to work within a team environment with demonstrated leadership qualities.
  • Self-directed and self-motivated, demonstrating initiative to do more than is expected or required in the position.
  • Strong commitment to safety.
  • Ontario Underground Common Core

 

Working Conditions:

 

  • The Musselwhite gold mine in northwestern Ontario is a fly-in, fly out operations and the schedule for this position will consist of 14 days on and 14 days off, 12 hours per day.

 

Compensation:

 

  • The salary range for this position is CAD $145,000 - $162,000 per year, depending on skills, experience, and
  • This role is eligible to participate in the Company’s annual short term incentive program. The target annual bonus for this position is 15% of base salary, subject to individual and company performance.
  • The Company offers a Defined Contribution Pension Plan (DCPP), including an automatic 5% employer contribution, with the option for employees to receive up to an additional 4% employer match on employee contributions.
