You’ll collaborate closely with designers, Product Owners, and both internal and client-side engineers to deliver scalable mobile solutions in complex environments.</p> <p>This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving real-world problems, contributing to technical direction, and delivering value early across a project lifecycle.</p> <p><em><strong>Contract Details: </strong>This role will begin as a 6-month fixed-term agreement, with the possibility of converting to a full-time, permanent position based on performance, business needs, and mutual fit.</em></p> <h2><strong>Responsibilities</strong></h2> <ul> <li>Lead or play a senior contributing role in delivering enterprise-grade mobile solutions using React Native.</li> <li>Collaborate closely with designers, Product Owners, and client-side engineering teams.</li> <li>Contribute to technical and architectural decisions, particularly in shared ownership or client-integrated environments.</li> <li>Participate in estimation, prioritization, and delivery planning to support on-time, on-budget execution.</li> <li>Provide functional mentorship and technical guidance to peers when needed.</li> <li>Uphold high standards for code quality, performance, accessibility, and maintainability.</li> <li>Communicate progress, risks, and trade-offs clearly and proactively with both internal teams and client stakeholder.</li> <li>Evaluate when and how to apply AI-assisted development responsibly, balancing efficiency with sound engineering judgment.</li> <li>Explore opportunities to integrate automation and AI into workflows (e.g., test generation, scaffolding, documentation, debugging assistance, architecture exploration).</li> <li>Contribute to shaping Orium’s internal adoption of AI for software development and share learnings with the team.</li> </ul> <h2><strong>Skills and Qualifications</strong></h2> <ul> <li>4+ years of industry experience with React Native and React, including experience delivering production mobile applications</li> <li>Strong understanding of software engineering fundamentals and modern development best practices</li> <li>Experience collaborating with or integrating alongside native mobile teams (iOS and/or Android)</li> <li>Solid experience with modern JavaScript, CSS, and responsive design patterns, with exposure to mobile performance optimization</li> <li>Familiarity with modern mobile tooling, debugging, and deployment workflows — including experience with platforms such as Expo and/or Firebase in production environments</li> <li>Experience contributing to large-scale or business-critical applications, ideally in client-facing or consulting contexts</li> <li>Excellent interpersonal and client-facing communication skills.</li> <li>Strong critical thinking around the role of AI in development, understanding both the opportunities and limitations as part of the engineering process.</li> <li>A mindset of continuous learning, experimentation, and curiosity.&nbsp;</li> </ul> <h2><strong>Is the Role a Fit for You?</strong></h2> <p>You’ll thrive as a Senior Developer at Orium if:</p> <ul> <li>You love building.
