React Engineer

Overview

The React Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, troubleshooting and debugging user-interface components for a React front-end for web-based products.

Responsibilities

• Develops front-end user interface components and pages in support of internet-facing softwaretools using React.js
• Provides feedback on existing product and contributes to the design of new product features
• Builds intuitive and reusable components and front-end libraries for use by other Engineers
• Builds responsive web applications that work across different screen sizes
• Builds components for maximum performance across web browsers
• Tests components as part of an agile development methodology
• Provides ongoing maintenance, support and enhancements in existing components and pages
• Participates cross-functionally with business users, Project Managers, and other Engineers toachieve elegant solutions
• Works alongside other Engineers on the team to elevate technology and consistently apply best
• practices, including clean coding and code reviews
• Provides recommendations for continuous improvement
• Other responsibilities as required

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in Computer Science or equivalent number of years of work experience
• 3-5 years of programming experience
• Technology experience must include JavaScript, HTML5 and CSS3 skills

• Experience with React.js workflows, including Redux Toolkit required
• Experience with RTK with Query/Codegen preferred
• Knowledge of modern authentication and authorization mechanisms, such as JSON Web Tokensrequired
• Understanding of build-tools and pipelines required
• Experience with Scrum/Agile methodologies required
• Experience with front-end security best practices is required
• Risk management and insurance expertise is a plus
• .NET Core and C# development for connecting to backend APIs preferred
