About the role

The Technical Specialist is an entry-level engineering role responsible for providing specialized training, technical support, maintenance, and repairs for Geosolutions’s products at dedicated customer sites. This position ensures optimal system performance and customer satisfaction by acting as the first level of support on-site.

What you will be doing

  • Work safely and comply with all WHS policies and procedures.
  • Install and integrate GroundProbe products at customer sites.
  • Assist with familiarization and training on product operation and maintenance.
  • Monitor and report on site-specific product performance and data.
  • Implement site maintenance schedules and resolve site-specific issues promptly.
  • Act as first-level technical support for dedicated customer sites.
  • Support invoicing and contract administration processes for site projects.
  • Promote GroundProbe technologies and maintain a positive company image.
  • Prepare reports and presentations based on data obtained from GroundProbe systems.
  • Log all faults and interventions in system operation.
  • Complete all required GroundProbe training modules and maintain professional development.
  • Work on a roster basis at client sites, including remote mines globally and within Asia.

What you will bring

  • Education: Diploma in Engineering (Electrical, Electronic, Mechanical, or IT/Computing).
  • Experience:
    • 5+ years of relevant technical work experience in customer service-based organizations.
    • 3+ years of experience in mining industry or related products.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Experience in electronics, radar, telecommunications, or related fields.
    • Basic to intermediate mining and geotechnical knowledge.
    • Ability to train individuals and small groups
    • Good understanding of Mining Safety Management System Aspect by always prioritizing Safety Value.
  • Soft Skills:
    • Excellent communication skills at all organizational levels.
    • Strong adaptability and problem-solving skills.
    • Computer literacy (MS Office essential).
    • Business development knowledge desirable.
