About the role

 

We are excited to announce an opening for Trainee Plant Operators at our manufacturing site in Deer Park. This is a great opportunity to start a rewarding career in a supportive and inclusive industrial environment, where diverse perspectives are valued and encouraged.

 

In this role, you’ll receive hands-on training in plant operations, safety protocols, and equipment handling. You’ll work alongside experienced professionals and gain the foundational skills needed to grow in a high-performing team. The position follows a well-balanced 12-hour rotating roster, offering extended rest days to support work-life balance.

What you will be doing

 

  • Producing batches of emulsifier by transferring, mixing, and reacting chemicals in bulk reactors (training provided);
  • Maintaining plant areas and equipment to operational standards;
  • Assisting chemists and engineers in trialing new products and processes;
  • Transporting loads using forklifts and bulk transfers;
  • Following all safety, health, and environmental procedures.

What you will bring

 

  • A strong commitment to safety in everything you do;
  • Basic computer literacy and a willingness to learn new systems;
  • A current forklift licence (highly regarded);
  • Experience in manufacturing or industrial environments (preferred but not essential);
  • Motivation to grow and progress into a Control Room Operator role.
