About the role


We’re excited to invite applications from experienced 4D Underground Charge Up/MCU Operators to join our team at the George Fisher Mine in Mt Isa.

In this role, you’ll be an important part of our underground operations, working hands-on with specialized equipment. As a 4D MCU Operator, you’ll operate an MCU vehicle to safely deliver and load explosive materials into underground blast holes—playing a key role in ensuring efficient and effective production outcomes.

We’re looking for operators who bring experience, a strong safety mindset, and a genuine passion for underground mining. In return, you’ll be joining a supportive team, working with modern equipment, and contributing to meaningful work onsite.

Preferred locations: Townsville, Brisbane, or Mount Isa.

What you will bring

 

  • Previous underground mining experience essential (i.e. Charging or mining operations);
  • Heavy rigid (HR/HC) vehicle license essential;
  • Previous experience operating an MCU or similar blast product delivery vehicle (desirable);
  • Experience with electronic blasting systems (advantageous);
  • Mechanical trade qualifications are advantageous but not essential;
  • A commitment and attitude toward Safety, Health and Environment;
  • Current QESC security clearance or ability to obtain.
