About the role

We are seeking a Field Support Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the efficient operation and maintenance of bulk emulsion delivery systems at McEwen Mining – Fox Complex, while upholding the highest standards of safety, quality, and customer service.   This vacancy is to fill an existing position.

 

Location: McEwen Mining – Fox Complex (Black Fox & Stock Mine), Matheson, Ontario 

Work Schedule: 4 days on, 3 days off

What you will be doing

  • Operate Bulk Emulsion Delivery Systems as required. 
  • Perform regular maintenance and audits of Bulk Emulsion Delivery Systems. 
  • Conduct continuous training, audits, and equipment sign-off for McEwen personnel. 
  • Manage critical spare parts and conduct magazine audits. 
  • Submit reports and timesheets promptly to McEwen and Orica. 
  • Attend monthly business development meetings as needed. 
  • Ensure compliance with Orica and McEwen training requirements. 
  • Act as a liaison for product awareness training and provide basic technical support on-site.

  • Mechanically inclined, ability to source replacement parts.

  • Considerate personality to adapt pleasantly in the presence of customers.
  • Success in pro-actively working in a team environment to ensure efficient operations.
  • Ability to prioritize various projects, ongoing daily task’ and high priority situations to maximize efficiency.

  • U0024 Module Operate Utility Vehicle (Kubota/Toyota or equivalent). 
  • Strong commitment to safety, health, and environmental standards. 
  • Ability to work collaboratively and maintain professional relationships.

Salary to be determined by the applicant’s experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.

 

Compensation

  • Between $40 and $48 per hour.
