Job Title: Maintenance Technician  

Location: Clinton, TN 

Schedule: Monday- Friday 3pm-11:15pm 

 

Dura-Line is seeking a Maintenance Technician to set up, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production and facility equipment. This role handles both emergency repairs during production and scheduled maintenance during machine service, while building skills in Maintenance Best Practices and supporting safe, efficient operations.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Maintain all resin systems, vacuum loaders, clean filters and make repairs as required. 

  • Maintain all support equipment, tape feeder, spiral units, extruders, vacuum tanks, pullers, reelers, air systems and water systems. 

  • Assist all departments with breakdowns. 

  • Assist and/or perform tooling changes for the extrusion department as required. 

  • Perform daily maintenance sheets on all lift trucks as per work sheet. 

  • Use voltmeter, check and replace fuses, motor starter, replays, pumps, motors, both AC-DC and trouble shoot faulty electric circuits. 

  • Assist the general maintenance crew with equipment rebuild, plant shutdowns and new equipment installations. 

  • Maintain a neat and orderly work area. 

  • Follow all safety requirements of this position. 

  • Perform all other duties as directed by management. 

  

EDUCATIONAL AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: 

  • High school diploma or GED (skilled trades education preferred such as: Mechanical, Electrical, Fluid power, Machining, Welding, etc.) 

  • 2 + years of hands-on experience in mechanical maintenance, preferably in a manufacturing environment 

  • Ability to safely use hand and power tools, and electrical devices, i.e. voltmeter, ammeter, etc. 

  • Ability to read and work from schematics, blueprints, diagrams and sketches 

  • Knowledge of 120/240/480v single and three phase systems 

  • Light electrical ability, familiarity with plumbing. 

  • Knowledge of state and local safety codes. 

  

OCCUPATIONAL AND/OR PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: 

  • Ability to move from one area to another by stepping over and/or bending under objects   

  • Mobility sufficient to allow frequent entrance and exits from lift or fork truck. 

  • Must be able to wear dust mask, earplugs, face shields as necessary 

  • Ability to climb ladders and other elevated equipment listen to equipment, look for defects in product and sense temperature changes in the finished product 

  • Stand and walk long distances on the plant floor for 8 to 12 hours on a shift and work around hot machinery. 

  • Occasional climbing, reaching, squatting and bending to operate and fix equipment 

  • Work in a manufacturing environment that may be exposed to external elements (hot and cold temperatures) and occasional loud noises. 

  • Able to lift and carry, push/pull up to 50lbs multiple times per shift

The compensation for this position will typically range from $25/hr. The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will be based on multiple factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, and internal equity. The compensation package may also include short and long-term incentive compensation.
