Job DetailsJob Location: ORAFOL Americas - Avon, CT - Avon, CT 06001The Order Fulfillment Coordinator plays a critical role within the ORAFOL Logistics Team, ensuring accurate and timely packaging of shipments according to customer and company requirements. The successful candidate will facilitate the flow of product through the department while maintaining inventory integrity. The candidate will have a demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team environment with a willingness to adapt to department changes.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Will be required to operate Powered Industrial equipment.
Packaging and labeling product according to department procedures and customer specific requirements.
Identifying incorrect or short shipped items, performing root cause analysis to cite improvement opportunities.
Verifying and maintaining inventory accuracy of product, ensuring accurate transaction of product in Business Express (BE) program.
Maintaining organized storage of shipment records and documentation.
Actively supporting Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement programs.
Willing and able to act as a backup in the absence of team leaders.
Perform other duties as assigned or as the situation dictates.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Maintains clean and efficient work area, contributing to 5S program efforts.
Understand ORAFOLs goals and works with fellow employees to exceed expectations.
Follows prescribed safety regulations in accordance with ORAFOLs Health and Safety policy.
Follow prescribed safety guidelines in accordance to ORAFOL Americas Safety program; use required PPE
Maintains an optimal level of product quality and adheres to ORAFOLs Quality Program

The salary range for this position is $20 p/hour + depending on experience 

 
QualificationsEducation Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED.
High mathematical aptitude.
Work Experience:
Must have experience working in a manufacturing/logistics environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, database, Outlook).
Aptitudes & Characteristics:
Exhibit a high level of attention to detail.
Must be able to work flexible hours as required, including overtime.
Must have a positive, can-do attitude with a heightened sense of accountability.
Must be a fast and driven learner, self-motivated to strive for continuous improvement.
Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines with a demonstrated sense of urgency.
Must be able to lift and move objects up to 50 pounds on a regular basis. Anything greater than 50lbs with assistance.
Required ability to stand for extended periods of time; must be able to walk, stretch, reach, crawl and grasp objects; required to bend, stoop, climb, or kneel occasionally.
Receptive to constructive feedback with a genuine desire to actively participate in a team through adaptability, flexibility, and versatility.
Desire to develop and improve customer relationships by exceeding expectations.
Must has a positive can do attitude and a sense of accountability; takes initiative.
Must be a fast learner, driven and self-motivated; strive towards continuous improvement.
