About this role

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced FLEXCUBE Solution Manager/Senior Technical Consultant to lead core banking implementation and upgrade projects. The ideal candidate will bring 12+ years of hands-on experience with Oracle FLEXCUBE implementations, strong technical skills in PL/SQL and Java, and proven ability to manage complex banking transformations across retail and corporate banking domains.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Leadership & Delivery

  • Lead end-to-end FLEXCUBE implementation projects from requirement gathering through production support
  • Design and develop technical solutions for core banking modules including CASA, Lending, Interest & Charges, and Liquidity Management
  • Manage version upgrades and migrations across FLEXCUBE platforms (versions 11.x through 14.x)
  • Architect and implement integration solutions with upstream/downstream systems, ATM/POS switches, and gateway interfaces
  • Oversee data migration activities from legacy systems to FLEXCUBE environments
  • Conduct feasibility analysis and solution design for complex banking requirements

Client Engagement & Stakeholder Management

  • Serve as primary technical consultant for client interactions and workshops
  • Facilitate requirement gathering sessions with bank business users, IT teams, and external vendors
  • Present technical solutions and design approaches to senior stakeholders
  • Manage onsite and offshore delivery models effectively
  • Provide training and knowledge transfer to client IT teams and business users

Module Expertise & Product Knowledge

  • Configure and customize Interest & Charges (IC) module including calculation engines and product rules
  • Implement and support ATM/POS interfaces with switch vendor coordination
  • Support Oracle Banking Liquidity Management (OBLM) implementations
  • Handle End-of-Day (EOD) batch processing and production monitoring

Team Leadership

  • Mentor technical teams and conduct code reviews
  • Lead offshore development teams and coordinate with onsite consultants
  • Manage release processes and deployment activities
  • Drive quality assurance through test strategy development and execution
  • Foster knowledge sharing and best practices within teams

Required Qualifications

Experience

  • Minimum 12-15 years of IT experience with at least 10+ years in Oracle FLEXCUBE implementations
  • Demonstrated experience across minimum 3-4 full lifecycle FLEXCUBE projects
  • Strong track record of onsite consulting experience in international markets
  • Experience with FLEXCUBE versions 11.x, 12.x, and 14.x (mandatory)
  • Proven experience in version upgrades and platform migrations

Technical Skills (Mandatory)

  • Expert-level proficiency in PL/SQL and SQL
  • Strong experience in Java programming (especially for FLEXCUBE 14.x)
  • Hands-on experience with RADTool/ODT for FLEXCUBE customizations
  • Working knowledge of JavaScript, XML, and web technologies
  • Experience with Oracle databases and performance tuning
  • Expertise in deploying and working with Weblogic, Oracle SOA Suite, and BPEL integration.

Domain & Product Knowledge (Mandatory)

Must have hands-on implementation experience in at least 4 of the following:

  • CASA (Current Account Savings Account) operations
  • Interest & Charges (IC) module
  • Consumer Lending (CL) / Loan Origination
  • Liquidity Management (OBLM)
  • Standing Instructions and automated payments
  • Payments and Incoming SWIFT
  • Gateway integrations and external system interfaces
  • Data migration from legacy banking systems

Functional Expertise

  • Deep understanding of retail and corporate DDA banking operations
  • Knowledge of banking products: deposits, loans, accounts, payment instruments
  • Understanding of SWIFT messaging & ISO 8583 standards for payment interfaces (preferred)

Certifications (Preferred)

  • Oracle FLEXCUBE Universal Banking Certified Implementation Specialist
  • Oracle Database certifications
  • ITIL or Project Management certifications (added advantage)

  • Excellent communication skills - ability to explain technical concepts to business users
  • Client-facing confidence with experience managing C-level stakeholder interactions
  • Adaptability to work across different time zones and cultural contexts
  • Problem-solving mindset with analytical and design thinking abilities
  • Team player with leadership qualities and mentoring capabilities
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities
  • Self-motivated with strong ownership and accountability

Geographic Flexibility

  • Willingness to travel internationally for onsite assignments (30-50% travel)
  • Experience working in multi-country implementations (Asia, Middle East, Africa, or Americas)
  • Ability to adapt to diverse regulatory and banking environments

Educational Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field
  • Master's degree in relevant field (preferred)
