About the Role

We are seeking a Business Systems Analyst to join our global IT team. This role is responsible for bridging the gap between business needs and technical solutions, ensuring that systems, processes, and data deliver maximum value to the organization. This employee will work with senior leadership and end users to design and deliver solutions aligned with major strategic initiatives.

The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, experience working with stakeholders, and the ability to translate requirements into actionable solutions.

This role is open to candidates across experience levels (junior, mid, or senior). Responsibilities and leadership opportunities will be aligned to the candidate’s background and expertise.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document detailed requirements for new systems or enhancements.
  • Act as an internal consultant for software and process best practices, advising senior leadership and end users.
  • Create process flows, data models, mock-ups, and user interface designs to guide development teams.
  • Support the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including requirement management, testing, implementation, and training.
  • Perform data analysis to support decision-making, ensuring accuracy, integrity, and quality of business data.
  • Evaluate new technologies, trends, and best practices, recommending improvements to business processes and IT systems.
  • Document current and future state business processes and system designs.
  • Partner with IT teams to design, configure, and test Saas and proprietary business applications.
  • Develop and maintain functional documentation, including operating procedures and knowledge articles.
  • Provide training and support to end-users on new or updated systems and processes.
  • Participate in Agile/Iterative practices (sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives) to ensure continuous improvement and delivery.
  • For experienced candidates: lead or mentor junior team members, manage medium to large projects, and contribute to strategic roadmaps.

What You’ll Need to Succeed

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • Experience as a Business Analyst, Systems Analyst, or similar role (level of responsibility will vary depending on years of experience):
    • Junior: 1–3 years of experience, strong analytical and documentation skills.
    • Mid-level: 4–7 years of experience, ability to manage projects and lead requirement workshops.
    • Senior: 8+ years of experience, proven leadership, strategic influence, and mentoring capabilities.
  • Strong understanding of business processes and IT systems, ideally including ERPs, integration tools such as Boomi, SQL Databases, and proprietary business applications.
  • Experience with SDLC, Agile methodologies, and project management practices.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work across cultures and time zones.
  • Familiarity with design and collaboration tools such as Jira, Lucid Chart, Smartsheet, or similar platforms is an advantage.
  • For senior candidates: experience with master data management, incident/problem management, or IT application architecture design is preferred.

Preferred Certifications (not required)

  • CCBA, CBAP, PMI-PBA, or PMP.
  • SCRUM Master or Agile certifications.
  • NetSuite ERP Consultant or other similar certifications
