Your background:

• Final-stage Bachelor’s student or currently enrolled in a Master’s program in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
• Solid understanding of Finance & Controlling fundamentals (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow).
• Interest in technology and SaaS business models; prior exposure to KPIs and valuation methods is a plus.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
• Strong analytical skills and a structured, independent working style.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and German.
• Comfortable working in a remote-first, agile setup and open to occasionally working from our offices in Cologne or Olpe.

Your team:

As part of the Controlling team at Open-Xchange, you will focus on Mergers & Acquisitions and gain hands-on experience in shaping the company’s financial strategy and supporting key acquisition decisions. In this role, you will contribute to business case analyses and financial reporting, helping drive growth and efficiency across our fast-growing digital business. 

Your new job:

• Support our M&A experts in identifying and evaluating acquisition opportunities.
• Create business cases and analyze potential acquisition targets.
• Contribute to our M&A strategy and help expand our email business.
• Assist the Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) / Controlling team with monthly reporting and ad hoc financial analyses.
