We are now looking for a suitable person to fill the following position in the School of Education and Languages:
Major Duties and Responsibilities
The appointee(s) will assist the Principal Investigator for the Research Project “Responsiveness to inclusive teaching in diverse contexts: A study of pre-service early childhood education teachers in Hong Kong, Australia, and Sweden”. The appointee will be responsible mainly for the following:
Conducting literature searches;
Supporting the research team with data collection;
Assisting the research team in the analysis of survey data, employing techniques such as descriptive statistics and regression analysis;
Assisting the research team in the transcription and analysis of semi-structured interviews using coding techniques;
Assisting the research team in compiling comprehensive research reports; and
Performing any other duties as assigned by the Principal Investigator.
Candidates
Candidates should possess the following qualifications, experience, and competencies:
A Master’s degree or above, preferably in Early Childhood Education, Special Education, or the Social Sciences;
Good qualitative and (or) quantitative analysis skills;
A genuine passion for research and strong intrinsic motivation for knowledge seeking;
Fluency in both written and spoken Chinese (Cantonese);
English skills in reading, listening, writing, and speaking;
Punctuality, collegiality, and the ability to work effectively in a team; and
Experience in teacher training or educational research will be considered as an advantage.
Terms and Conditions for Appointment
Successful candidates will be appointed on a six-month contract. Benefits will be provided in accordance with the statutory provisions.
