We are now looking for a suitable person to fill the following position in the School of Arts and Social Sciences:



Major Duties and Responsibilities

The appointee will assist in a research project Mental Health and Music Education in Hong Kong. (Project code R6946).  The appointee will be responsible mainly for the following:

·       Conducting research for developing and publishing two academic articles;

·       Playing the role of an interviewer to interview music students and teachers;

·       Collecting feedback and editing articles collected from the interviewees

·       Scheduling and coordinating interview sessions

·       Liaising with internal and external parties.

 

Candidates

Candidates should possess the following qualifications, experience and competence:

·       Have a master’s degree in preferably in the field of Cultural Industry Management, Education, Cultural Studies, Journalism and Communication, Social Sciences, or a related discipline;

·       An excellent command of Chinese and English;

·       competent at computer skills and software (e.g. MS Office using Word, Excel, PowerPoint);

·       Candidates with network and knowledge in the music field will be considered first. 

 

Terms and Conditions for Appointment

Successful candidate will be appointed on a temporary part-time contract.  Benefits will be provided in accordance with the statutory provisions.

 

Duration of Appointment

The appointee is expected to work not more than 11 hours per week.  The appointee will work for 8 months.
