We are now looking for a suitable person to fill the following position in the School of Education and Languages: 



Part-time Lecturer 

EDU 3353EEF    Guidance and Counselling in the Hong Kong School Context

 

Major Duties and Responsibilities

The appointee shall mainly be responsible for the following:

  • planning and teaching the above full-time undergraduate course;

  • preparing teaching notes and assessment, marking and commenting on assignments and examination papers;

  • providing consultation to students;

  • preparing course documents (e.g. course report); and  

  • performing other duties related to the development and delivery of the course. 

English is the medium of instruction for the course. The appointee will be required to teach a total of 39 hours for the course during daytime on campus from May to August 2026.

 

Candidates

Candidates should possess the following qualifications, experience and competence:

  • a recognized higher degree in Education (or equivalent) plus teaching experience in Hong Kong schools; and

  • familiar to guidance and counselling in Hong Kong school context

  • being fluent in written and spoken English.

Preference will be given to candidates with related experience in guidance and counselling in school context and/or teaching experience in higher education.

 

Terms and Conditions for Appointment

Successful candidate will be appointed on a temporary part-time contract. Benefits will be provided in accordance with the statutory provisions.
