Your Impact
The overall purpose of the Commercial Sales Executive role at OpenText is to help customers leverage information to grow faster and operate more efficiently in an increasingly digital world. You will support customers in transforming and evolving their businesses to remain competitive in the market.
The Commercial Sales Team is responsible for OpenText’s mid-market account space, working closely with Solution Consultants and the Partner Ecosystem. The role involves presenting product solutions that meet customer needs—both to net-new prospects and existing customers within the install base.
This role typically does not require travel.
What the Role Offers
Prospecting and identifying key decision-makers within targeted accounts
Building and fostering new relationships to drive direct sales
Acting as the main point of contact and collaborating effectively with both new and existing customers
Applying creative, solution-oriented thinking to identify opportunities others might miss
Collaborating with partners to sell into their customer base
Using software technology tools to meet sales objectives
Exploring new challenges and opportunities by flexing your creative muscles
Thriving in a fast-paced environment and embracing continuous learning
Being mentored by industry leaders who are passionate and authentic in sharing their experiences
What You Need to Succeed
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent training in sales
A proven ability to identify opportunities within your focus accounts list, install base, and total addressable market
Experience in software sales, ideally within a large corporate organization
A quick learner who can become an expert on new products, with a focus on SaaS solutions
Strong understanding of strategic, tactical, and consultative selling processes
Clear, articulate, and confident communication skills in all formats
Ability to inspire, recognize, and reward peers effectively
