Role Summary

The People & Culture Generalist - ASEA will play a crucial role in supporting generalist P&C, including but not limited to, workforce analytics and reporting, Business Partnering as well as key Talent projects within the ASEA zone. This position will report to the ASEA People Director and collaborate closely with other regional stakeholders to drive P&C programs and initiatives to enhance and elevate the employee experience.

This is a hands-on generalist role — balancing strategic advisory, people impact, and practical execution in a fast-moving, multi-market environment (including, but not limited to Philippines, Indonesia, South Korea, Vietnam).

Key Responsibilities

1. HR Business Partnering & Stakeholder Advisory

  • Partner with P&C Director to drive workforce planning, talent strategy, performance management, and organization effectiveness across ASEA markets

  • Support P&C Director on change management projects, restructuring, and transformation initiatives, including translating business priorities into actionable P&C strategies.

  • Assist P&C Director in the full scope of business partnering with ASEA leadership teams – functions include Commercial, Finance, Science Hub, Supply Chain, etc

  • Collaborate with regional P&C Business Partners and Regional COE teams (Talent, Rewards & Performance) to ensure the proactive and effective deployment of P&C programs and processes to achieve consistent employee experiences. This includes providing guidance on HR policies, procedures, and best practices, as well as addressing employee inquiries and concerns where needed and appropriate

2. Employee Relations & People Governance

  • Assist P&C Director in:

    • Managing employee relations cases, ensuring fair, consistent, and compliant outcomes.

    • Provide guidance on labor laws, HR policies, disciplinary matters, grievances, and performance management.

  • Partner with Legal and P&C COEs on complex cases.

3. Talent, Performance & Capability Agenda

  • Assist P&C Director in the development, design and execution of projects across the various talent pillars (but not limited to): e.g. recruitment & branding projects (Talent Acquisition) regional onboarding projects (Talent Management), leadership development programs (Learning & Development), engagement and action-planning (Employee Experience).
  • Contribute to learning, engagement, and career development initiatives.

4. Workforce Analytics & Business Insights

  • Leverage people data and workforce analytics to advise on attrition, productivity, cost, engagement, and headcount planning.

  • Prepare insights and recommendations to support business decisions and leadership forums.

  • Track key people metrics and propose data-driven interventions.

5. Zone Collaboration (across Philippines, Indonesia, South Korea, Vietnam, Malaysia)

  • Together with the P&C Director, work closely with ASEA P&C partners and COEs to ensure consistent and effective delivery of programs.

  • Support regional initiatives and cross-market collaboration, with Indonesia, South Korea exposure considered a strong advantage.

  • Contribute to best-practice sharing across markets.

Qualifications & Requirements

Must-Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or related field.

  • 4–7+ years of experience in HR Business Partnering or HR Generalist roles, preferably in MNC or regional environments.

  • Strong experience in employee relations, performance management, workforce planning, and stakeholder management.

  • Sound knowledge of ASEA labor laws and HR practices.

  • Strong communication, influencing, and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to operate in a fast-paced, business-driven environment.

Nice-to-Haves

  • Experience supporting Indonesia or other ASEAN markets.

  • Background in consumer, FMCG, shared services, or matrix organizations.

  • Exposure to organizational change, transformation, or restructuring.

  • Comfort using HR analytics and dashboards for business decision-making.
