Job Summary
The HR Representative supports the HR Manager in delivering the overall people strategy for the site. The HR Representative ensures positive employee relations through effective communication and fair and consistent
administration of the labor agreement. This role has responsibilities over site training which includes formulating and
tracking annual training plans for all levels of the organization to ensure that the site is compliant and that customer’s
requirements are met on a timely basis with a quality manufactured product. This position may backup the designated
plant payroll liaison and may work with Corporate Payroll to ensure accuracy of payroll for hourly paid associates as
needed. 

Essential Functions
• Assist in administration of the labor agreement
• Support the Performance Management of employees
• Execution of the site Training and Development Plans
• Maintain overall HRIS and reporting for local site
• Secondary backup for HR manager/ EHS Specialist/ or others as assigned

Additional Responsibilities
• Managing the educational assistance
• Applying for grants and state funding for workforce training
• Proper handling of grievance procedure
• Reporting Monthly and Annual Indicators
• Leading investigations and providing summaries of findings
• Assisting with performance management discussions
• Proper record keeping and employee file maintenance
• Facilitating the job bidding / posting process
• Participating/ managing community and employee involvement programs
• Creating and maintaining current job descriptions
• Participating in recruitment and interviewing Hourly / Salaried employees
• Must successfully complete all required training
• Must comply with all Plant work rules, safety rules, policies and procedures
• Administering a labor agreement in a fast-paced Unionized manufacturing environment
• All other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities:
• Ability to communicate effectively through verbal and written communications.
• Ability to handle confidential and protected employee information
• Able to multi-task with competing priorities
• Ability to interact professionally with all levels of the organization from shop floor to VP
• Ability to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods
• Possess basic computer skills; SAP, Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook
• Basic knowledge of labor and employment laws

Required qualifications:
• Minimum four (4) years of professional HR experience required
• Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Management or equivalent preferred
• Professional HR Certification preferred
• Successful completion of a background and substance abuse screening
