Mechanical Prototype Eng. (MPE)

Contract : Indeterminated

The Mecanical  Prototype Engineer develop and fabricate prototypes of plastic components using 3D printing (resin or filament) and manual techniques, in order to validate modifications before implementing them in the final mold.

Responsabilities:

  • Support the development of prototype parts based on CAD proposals, ensuring physical feasibility of the models.
  • Use CAD software to model and adjust geometries according to design specifications
  • Operate and maintain 3D printers, including file preparation, calibration, and post-processing.
  • Perform manual finishing of prototypes (sanding, assembly, gluing, painting, or fine adjustments)
  • Collaborate with product engineers and designers to transform concepts into functional prototypes
  • Document the prototype manufacturing process and maintain version control and records of modifications.
  • Preparation of CAD data and documentation for ordering parts from external suppliers.

Experience:

  • Minimun  3 years in the position 
  • English on intermediate level 
  • University Degree
  • MS Office,
  • CAD
  • GD&T
  • DFMEA
  • Mechanical design, plastic injection technology and tool design knowledge
  • Experience with 3D modeling software
