We are seeking a proactive Customer Quality Engineer (Warranty) to manage field claims and ensure high customer satisfaction while maintaining internal quality standards. This role is key in coordinating warranty activities, supporting root cause analysis, and driving effective corrective actions across both internal teams and suppliers. 


The role of Customer Quality Engineer (Warranty) is based in our Exterior & Lighting Business Group in Nový Jičín, Czech Republic.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Manage warranty and customer complaint cases, ensuring timely communication and high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Prepare and maintain monthly warranty reports and warranty claims databases.
  • Lead or support root cause analysis and failure simulations in cooperation with production, laboratory, and cross‑functional teams.
  • Coordinate with supplier quality teams on warranty‑related supplier claims and validate corrective actions internally and externally.
  • Conduct customer visits, participate in audits, and validate customer invoices related to warranty matters.
  • Travel locally and internationally to address customer issues, support part coordination, and resolve field concerns.
  • Create and maintain Lessons Learned documentation and support continuous improvement activities.
  • Validation and approval of debit notes.


Requirements:

  • Technical university degree or secondary education with relevant experience in automotive quality or warranty.
  • Experience in Automotive industry (manufacturing, program, management, quality) will be beneficial. 
  • Knowledge of automotive quality tools (8D), ISO 9001/IATF 16949, and problem‑solving methodologies
  • Experience in Warranty or Customer Quality will be an added value.
  • Fluency in English (spoken and written); French or German is an advantage.
  • Customer‑oriented mindset with strong communication, negotiation, and decision‑making skills.
  • Ability to lead teams through problem‑solving, teach others, and effectively manage feedback.
  • Strong focus on cost of poor quality (CoPQ) and continuous improvement.
