The Role

We are looking for an outstanding, detail-oriented, and self-motivated Junior Accountant to join the Financial Control Team (Group Finance team). You will report to the Finance Manager and work closely with the Accountants, Financial Control, Treasury and Consolidation teams.

An eye for detail, a can-do attitude, a passion for numbers, and working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. 

Qualification & experience:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting. Part qualified, newly qualified Chartered Account (or equivalent, articles) required.
•  External audit experience would be highly advantageous.
• Excellent skills in MS Office with advanced Excel skills.
• Experience in Banking/Mobile Money Operations would be an advantage.
• Experience in process automation.
• Experience with Xero and NetSuite software an advantage.
• Experience with working with large data volumes.

Duties and Responsibilities: 

• Daily bookkeeping for accounts.
• Timely preparation, submission, reporting and control of client invoices
• Preparation of bank reconciliations against bank balances on a weekly basis.
• Inter-company transactions and reconciliations
• Prepares journal entries and analysis to assist in month-end financial close.  
• Liaise with suppliers (invoices and statements and payment queries)
• Liaise internally on payment queries and P2P queries
• Staff Travel invoicing and IC Journals
• Fixed Asset Register Reporting
• Assistance with ad-hoc projects as and when needed.
• Continuous improvement of accounting and reporting processes in line with overall business/group objectives and needs.
• Generally, uphold the values of the Company.
