  • Monitor building systems through the building automation system (BAS/BCS) with guidance from senior engineers

  • Perform minor electrical repairs and assist with troubleshooting low-voltage systems (exposure to higher-voltage work may be under supervision)

  • Support plumbing maintenance, including replacing fixtures, clearing drains, and assisting with pump and valve upkeep

  • Respond promptly to guest room maintenance requests with professional service and follow-up

  • Assist with tracking parts inventory and help with ordering supplies

  • Maintain accurate logs, including preventive maintenance checklists and repair notes (specialized logs like refrigerant or water quality may be overseen by senior staff)

  • Follow all hotel safety procedures, including Lockout/Tagout and HAZCOM

  • Provide support for hotel emergency systems, including responding to alarms and assisting with safety protocols

  • Keep the workshop and maintenance areas clean, organized, and safe

Qualifications

  • Familiarity with BAS/BCS software platforms
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and blueprints

  • Working knowledge of electrical systems, including low voltage and 3-phase high voltage

  • Experience operating or supporting central plant systems and water treatment

  • Strong troubleshooting skills in both electrical and mechanical applications

  • Experience with commercial plumbing systems and related components

  • EPA Universal Certification preferred (Refrigerant Handling)

  • Additional trade certifications or manufacturer training a plus

  • Prior experience in hotel, resort, or commercial facility maintenance strongly preferred

  • Proficient with CMMS systems (Synergy preferred)

  • Ability to lift up to 80 lbs, work at heights, climb ladders, and access tight spaces
