Job Description

No Job Description for a position can possibly include all duties which may be requested by guests or required by the hotel.  The objective of all positions is to effectively provide the services personally, or to immediately refer requests to the appropriate department manager.  The following is a summary of the major responsibilities of the position.

Responsibilities

 

Essential Functions:

 

  • Maintain maintenance and project checklist/schedule for preventive maintenance and ongoing improvements.
  • Maintain all mechanical items in guest rooms and public areas.
  • Receive direction for house calls via radio.
  • Assists engineers and mechanics with repairs.
  • Clean all work areas once job is complete.
  • Fill out Daily Work form.
  • Thorough understanding of fire alarm procedures and other emergencies.
  • Thorough understanding of resort rules and regulations.
  • Diagnoses malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components, using test equipment and hand tools, to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem.
  • Uses a variety of tools and equipment including but not limited to power tools, measuring devices, and testing equipment.
  • Works with each department to assure emergency and safety work orders are handled promptly.

  • Various tools as needed for specific work

 

Working Environment:

  • Interior of hotel, in all areas of the hotel.  Exposure to extreme hot and cold temperatures.
  • Exterior of hotel with exposure to weather conditions.
  • Exposure to various hazardous chemicals.
