Omni Interlocken Resort & Spa is seeking a Banquet Set Up Supervisor - PM to join our outstanding banquets team! This vital role will work closely with the Director of Banquests and Banquet Leaders to oversee all operations relating to the Banquets department, resulting in high levels of guest satisfaction and associate development. This highly motivated individual will ensure proper set up of meeting and Banquet facilities by communicating effectively through supervisors to associates and handling guests requests on the floor

Salary for this position (based on experience): $25.00/hour. Full Time Associates at Omni Interlocken Resort are entitled to elect the following benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision and other healthcare benefits, Paid Maternity Leave, 401k and Paid Time Off Accrual. Omni Interlocken Resort reserves the right to pay more or less than listed compensation scale based on factors not related to sex or race.
Responsibilities
- Directly responsible for the daily supervision of the banquet housemen.
- Inspects each function room prior to the event to ensure that both the client's needs are fulfilled and the hotel standards are met.
- Responsible for initiating and maintaining contact with each meeting planner (in-house) to ensure that all last-minute requests and changes are provided and noted on BEO.
- Reviews daily worksheet and assigns specific duties to banquet Houseperson team.
- Inspects each function room prior to, and during breaks to insure that all requirements reflected on the daily worksheets are met and adhered to specific standards.
- Insures that cleanliness and organization of all storage areas is maintained.
- Insures the proper use and storage of all Convention Services equipment. Establish preventative maintenance schedules for same equipment.
- Trains all new housemen according to Omni standards.
- Insures all houseman are in proper uniform and keeps in good communication with houseman during shifts regarding needs and set ups, breakdown and room refreshes.
- Perform any and all other duties assigned and/or required by management.
Qualifications
- Minimum 6-months supervisory experience required.
- The ideal candidate will have experience in a hotel, organizing and setting up meeting rooms for special functions.
- Ability to lift, push and pull up to 50lbs and have a great team work attitude.
- Must be able to work flexible shifts, including afternoons, evenings/nights, weekends and holidays.
- Must be willing to adapt to different climate changes in and around hotel, lounge and kitchen areas, with exposure to extreme temperatures.
- Promptness in attendance is a must.
- Banquet set-up experience preferred; must have organizational skills; able to work well with others.
