Location: 5200 E I240 Service Rd. OKC, OK 73135

Hours: Days, 4 shifts per week 10 hours. Must be able to take call. 


Responsibilities

The Scrub Technician assists and scrubs on all surgery procedures directly related to the department utilizing all standards for quality and patient safety.  Willingness to work in other areas of the Oklahoma Heart Hospital, as needed.  Demonstrates knowledge and adhere to federal, and state regulations.  Actively participates in the routine checks of clinical, electronic, and all other equipment used in the department within the scope of practice.  Collaborates with leadership and all other team members in idea sharing, utilization of resources, as well as assists in the cross training of the staff when assigned.  Assists leadership on projects aimed at achieving the hospital mission and incorporating the values of the hospital in day-to-day activities.  Participates in and encourages teamwork to provide patient-focused car

 

Patient Care:

  • Serves as scrub Tech assistant on all procedures working closely with the physicians and direct care staff communicating pertinent patient information to provide patient focused care.
  • Actively participates in administering patient care within the scope of their practice.                                                
  • Able to assist each patient to provide patient focused care throughout the focused care continuum.                                         
  • Maintains patient confidentiality.                                                    
  • Maintains universal precautions.                                                      
  • Applies the knowledge of growth and development to appropriate patient populations.                                                 
  • Participates in performance improvement activities such as patient satisfaction, physician satisfaction, and staff satisfaction performing surveys as necessary.                                                             
  • Ensures the provision of a safe and comforting environment.                                                                              
  • Participate in the educational opportunities available with unit specific topics.                                                            
  • Adheres to procedure protocol.                                                        
  • Maintains the dignity of all patients within your care. 

Qualifications

Education: Graduate of accredited Scrub technician program.

 

Licensure/Certification: Current BLS required.

 

Experience: Minimum of one (1) year of continuous CV Surgery experience preferred.

 

Working Knowledge: Able to assist and scrub, at a proficient level, all procedures related to the department in both acute and stable patients.
