Job Description Summary:

The Nurse Administrator I position is responsible for maintaining efficient and effective operations of nursing units/hospitals by providing direction for patient care services, patient throughput, and support for all hospital departments

Responsibilities And Duties:

50%
Contributes to administrative functioning of nursing services by reviewing staffing, reassigning and allocating staff as appropriate to meet changing patient care needs.
15%
Serves as a clinical resource and role model to nursing staff. Ensures safe and equitable working environments. Uses information systems to retrieve, implement, and retain essential records and services. 
15%
Interacts with internal and external customers and serves as a resource for information and problem solving (i.e. media, patient relations, risk management, security, hospital administration, patients, and families).
10%
Serves as a liaison between nursing services and other hospital departments for problem solving and problem resolution (i.e. Pharmacy, Lab, etc.).
10%
Coordinates and/or assists with activities during internal and external emergency situations.

Minimum Qualifications:

Associate's Degree (Required)RN - Registered Nurse - Ohio Board of Nursing

Additional Job Description:

Current Registered Nurse license from the State of Ohio and/or Current Registered Nurse license in good standing with a multi-state compact state. Field of Study: Nursing Years of Experience 2 to 5 years

Staffing and scheduling patterns, communication, interpersonal relationships skills, problem solving, and conflict resolution

Minimum 2 years clinical experience

  • BLS Certified
  • Specialized Knowledge in related field
  • Demonstrated leadership skills
