Responsibilities

The functions of the Lead Registered Nurse are to collect patient health data, identify expected outcomes individualized to the patient, develop a plan of care that prescribes interventions to attain the expected outcomes, implement the interventions identified in the plan of care, and evaluate the patient’s progress toward attainment of the outcome while working collaboratively with the healthcare team.

 

 

Additional Duties and Responsibilities:

 

  • Monitors and assists with patient flow
  • Advise and assist staff on problem solving patient/customer issues.
  • May act as clinical preceptor.
  • Leads the day-to-day work and productivity of patient care staff
  • Assist supervisor in scheduling employee time off and daily work assignments
  • Address issues associated with clinic operations 
  • Aids management in a variety of areas such as but not limited to hiring, training, employee engagement, performance management, and reinforcing established expectations from management, and scheduling.

Qualifications

  • Associate Degree in Nursing from a CCNE (Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education) or Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) accredited nursing program .
  • Current Ohio Registered Nurse license. 
  • CPR/BLS certified. 
  • Knowledge of triage procedures along with clinic, physician office and/or urgent care experience.
  • Ability to maintain quality, safety, and/or infection control standards.
  • Knowledge of appropriate procedures and standards for the administration of medications and patient care aids.
  • Ability to educate and clearly communicate with patients and/or families as to the nature of disease and to provide instruction on proper care and treatment.
  • Ability to convey information both in writing and verbally. 
  • High level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations. 
  • Position continually requires demonstrated poise, tact and diplomacy. 
  • Analytical ability and critical thinking to gather and interpret data and develop, recommend, and implement solutions

 

Preferences:

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
  • ACLS certified.
  • Two or more years of nursing experience in an outpatient setting.

Pay Range

USD $33.32 - USD $49.97 /Hr.
