Advanced Practice Provider (PA/NP) – Emergency Department

Wilson Health915 Michigan St, Sidney, OH 45365📍 1.5 hours NW of Columbus | 40 minutes North of Dayton

Position Overview

Wilson Health is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner) to join our Emergency Department (ED) team in Sidney, Ohio. This role offers the opportunity to practice in a supportive, community‑focused hospital.

You will work collaboratively with Emergency Medicine physicians to evaluate, treat, and manage a broad range of emergent and urgent conditions in a well‑resourced, patient‑centered environment.

Emergency Department Highlights

  • Annual Volume: ~18,000 ED visits
  • ED Beds: 14
  • Shift Model: 12‑hour shifts
  • Acuity: Community ED with diverse case mix
  • EMR: EPIC

Community Health Partners (CHP) provides regional/community-based hospitals emergency department, hospitalist, and urgent care provider staffing throughout Ohio. Responsibilities

Scope of Practice

The APP will provide comprehensive emergency care, including but not limited to:

  • Evaluation and management of low- to moderate-acuity emergency patients
  • Performing history and physical examinations
  • Ordering, interpreting, and documenting diagnostic studies
  • Developing and implementing treatment plans
  • Performing common ED procedures within credentialed scope
  • Patient and family education

Qualifications

Physician Assistant (PA):

  • Completion of an accredited Physician Assistant program
  • PA‑C certification (NCCPA)
  • Current Ohio Physician Assistant licensure (or eligibility)

Nurse Practitioner (NP):

  • Master’s degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
  • National Nurse Practitioner certification (AANP or ANCC)
  • Current Ohio Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) licensure (or eligibility)
