What you will be doing:
Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the Multimodal Design Guide, ensuring standards remain current.
Participate in value engineering workshops and collaborate on the development of workshop materials.
Assist with the ongoing updates of the Location and Design Manual, Volume 1, and other roadway standards.
Review and approve consultant prequalification submissions for Non-Complex and Complex Roadway Design.

Licensed as registered professional engineer by Ohio State Board of Registration for Professional Engineers & Surveyors; 12 mos. exp. as Transportation Engineer 3, 85643; if assigned to operate a state vehicle to travel to & inspect project sites, must possess valid driver’s license.
-Or licensed as registered professional engineer by Ohio State Board of Registration for Professional Engineers &
Surveyors; 2 yrs. exp. as group or project leader or supervisor providing work direction & training to employees engaged
in engineering projects or 2 yrs. exp. in managing engineering research projects (i.e., managing research projects applies
only to staff specialist positions); if assigned to operate a state vehicle to travel to & inspect project sites, must possess
valid driver’s license.
-Or equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications For Employment noted above may be substituted for the experience
required, but not for the mandated registration.
