We are seeking energetic, passionate people who enjoy the outdoors and want to play a key role for the position of Natural Resources Technician 2 within the Division of Parks & Watercraft, headquartered at Malabar Farm State Park in Richland County. What you will do…
- Work outside in some of the most beautiful parks in Ohio
- Perform customer service functions with a willingness to go above and beyond to ensure customer satisfaction and safety
- Maintain campground facilities, grounds &/or equipment
- Maintain a variety of park equipment, vehicles, and farm equipment
- Work in different field operations including carpentry, plumbing, electrical, roofing, masonry, and operating hand and power tools
- Interact daily with a variety of customers who utilize the park & watercraft facilities
- Starting hourly pay of $20.85/hr. with multiple pay increases over your first 4 years of service, with an end salary of $22.96/hr.
- There may also be cost of living adjustments (COLA) applied. Longevity pay supplements begin after five (5) years of state service. For more details, refer to the OCSEA pay range schedule & longevity rates OCSEA Employees | Department of Administrative Services.
6 mos. trg. or 6 mos. exp. in semi-skilled maintenance functions (i.e., minor electrical repair, rough plumbing repairs, carpentry & masonry); 6 mos. trg. or 6 mos. exp. in equipment safety practices; 6 mos. trg. or 6 mos. exp. in use of shop, hand & power tools; 6 mos. trg or 6 mos. exp. in operation of mowers & trucks; 6 mos. trg. or 6 mos. exp. in equipment maintenance; valid driver’s license
-Or 6 mos. exp. as Natural Resources Technician 1, 22621.
-Or equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications for Employment noted above.
