About this role

Job Summary/Objective 

Leads initiatives in developing scalable Microsoft Dynamics CRM and NAV solutions for OEC. Collaborates with department leadership and architects to guide strategic decisions while providing hands-on support to application teams to enhance scalability in applications and databases. Design, develop, test, and support CRM and NAV systems and integrated platforms. Delivers database tuning/optimization/caching and develops solutions to maintain stability, security, and high performance. Provides technical expertise throughout the application lifecycle, fostering efficient collaboration with development teams. Sets high standards for technical excellence and proactive problem-solving. 

 

Key Responsibilities & Duties (essential to the job) 

  1. Maintains a functional understanding of Microsoft Dynamics CRM and NAV systems, along with supported applications and the business environment, providing expert guidance on technical, business, and operational impacts related to projects or production issues 
  2. Adheres to established guidelines and standards by consulting with senior-level team members to devise technical solutions, considering the capacity and limitations of hardware and software, system response time, and other performance factors.  
  3. Collaborates closely with departmental leadership, senior engineers, and architects to design and implement scalable and optimal architecture for new products, initiatives, and high-performance solutions. 
  4. Maintains the highest levels of development practices, resulting in efficient, reusable, and reliable code, including technical design, solution development, NAV/CRM systems configuration, test documentation/execution, and issue identification and resolution. 
  5. Deep dives into current platforms, recommends potential improvement areas; designs and develops technical solutions to make those improvements. 
  6. Develop and debug code to identify and fix performance issues. 
  7. Takes the lead in troubleshooting and resolving complex internal systems NAV & CRM-related issues, including performance bottlenecks, data inconsistencies, and system errors. 
  8. Leads efforts to analyze and optimize database and application performance, improving system response times and user experience. 
  9. Proactively recommends improvements in monitoring and alerting to swiftly identify and resolve potential CRM and NAV issues before they impact application performance or user experience. 
  10. Contributes technical expertise to developing data and application architecture strategies, ensuring alignment with business objectives and future growth requirements.
  11. Leads the creation and maintenance of comprehensive documentation related to database and application configurations, processes, and best practices. 
  12. Assists leadership with training and guiding junior team members, nurturing their growth and development. 

  

 Education 

A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university is required, with a focus in Technology, Computer Science, or related discipline.  

 
Experience, Skills and Key Competencies 

  • At least 10 years of experience in software development of scalable web-based and data-driven products, with expertise in data mining techniques for comprehensive data insights at every user touch point in the system. 

  • Must have 7 years of experience working directly with Microsoft Dynamics CRM and Dynamics NAV. 

  • Proven ability to define, deliver, and execute multiple projects. 

  • Proficiency in technologies including .NET/C#, Java, JavaScript, Vue.js, C/AL, HTML, CSS, OLTP, SQL, REST, Webservices, GIT/Bitbucket. 

  • Preference for experience in global ERP/CRM systems

  • Must be able to adjust work hours as needed, to attend meetings and provide support & guidance to teams across global locations and time zones.
