Since 2000, Clearview Treatment Programs has offered individualized evidence-based treatment for adults suffering from mental health disorders, including borderline personality disorder (BPD), and substance use disorders, with an emphasis on dialectical behavior therapy (DBT). Our Southern California facilities provide an environment that’s ideal for healing and transformation. We offer a specialized full continuum of care with residential centers and outpatient treatment options, allowing clients to enter at the level of treatment that is best for long-lasting recovery.

Compensation Range:

$35.00 - $55.00 per hour (depending on level and experience)

How You Will Contribute:

The  (RN)/ Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) interacts with the clients and team members throughout their shift, assisting direct care staff in meeting client’s functional needs. This person collaborates with team members to ensure a safe and therapeutic environment is maintained within the treatment facilities. Position performs various tasks related to the provision of medical care to include taking physician orders, preparing, and administering medications, assessing and document client’s health, and coordinating health/medical services in accordance with physician orders.

Relationships and Contacts

Within the organization:   Maintains frequent and close working relationships with facility leadership, Clinical Director, direct care team members, and quality/compliance team members.

Outside the organization: May initiate and maintain working relationships with clients, third party providers, pharmacies/suppliers and vendors, as needed.

Essential Responsibilities

Provides a comprehensive nursing assessment identifying client’ s medical needs, capabilities, and limitations.
Records and transcribes physicians written and verbal orders. Carries out or delegates STAT orders immediately.
Communicates observations and recommendations for clients’ plan of care, providing input into the treatment team process.
Identifies abnormal diagnostic data and brings to the attending physician’s attention.
Documents the administration of medication (including PRN) in according to established policies and procedures.
Coordinates all pharmacy and laboratory orders, delivery, and refills with the appropriate vendors.
Responsible for the security of all controlled medications kept in the facility and monitors the administration and accurate recording of use.
Administers medications according to physician orders and medication administration record.
Administers injections, as needed/ordered.
Provides, structures, and maintains a therapeutic environment in collaboration with other staff.
Documents observations in nursing assessment and weekly notes in electronic charting system, Best Notes, in accordance with facility policy in a timely manner. Documentation reflects plan of care outlined in the Master Treatment Plan.
Documentation reflects ongoing assessment of resident behaviors and feelings as expressed and are addressed appropriately within the program or with referral.
Prepares clients for discharge through individualized counseling and instruction prior to discharge in a clear and concise manner; providing written instructions if needed.
Provides education to clients and families about medications, side effects, contraindications, and physical symptoms through individual counseling and group counseling.
Provides review of clinical records for accuracy and quality documentation.
Assists in the coordination of admissions, transfers, and discharges to provide a smooth and efficient flow of communication.
Coordinates facility infection control program ensuring staff and clients meet policy and procedure requirements.

QualificationsWhat We Are Seeking:

Must hold current RN or LVN licensure within the state of California and have an associate or bachelor’s degree in nursing. Psychiatric nursing experience strongly preferred.

Other Requirements

Clearance of TB test, fingerprinting and state clearance, and any other mandatory state/federal requirements
A valid Driver's license and a generally clean driving record are required. Employees may be required to drive personal or company vehicles.
State licensing DHS and DSS prohibit individuals with specific criminal charges, conducted by Livescan fingerprint checks. Exemptions offered.

Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors, including geographic location as well as candidate experience and expertise, and may vary from the amounts listed above.
