Neuroendovascular Surgeons

Job Duties: Use minimally invasive, catheter-based techniques to diagnose and treat conditions affecting the brain, neck and spinal cord. Acquire and examine patient clinical history, perform physical examination, choose, order and perform appropriate diagnostic tests and interpret results. Consult with physicians, nurses, patients and patients’ families concerning treatment and care. Refer cases to specialists as indicated, maintaining continuity of care. Provide medical direction to healthcare staff and assist in developing and implementing education, training and in-service programs for the healthcare staff. Various administrative duties and participate in committees. Maintain patient records according to hospital policies and procedures. Remain a member of the active staff of hospitals. Provide call coverage. Travel to worksites in Lafayette weekly.

Education Required: MD or DO

Other Requirements:  

  • License to practice medicine in Louisiana.
  • Completion of a neurovascular surgery fellowship.
