Position Summary

The Project Schedule Specialist position involves supporting the planning and scheduling activities as it relates to the Oceaneering Enterprise Project Management (EPM) and Time management systems. The successful candidate must be both technically and functionally proficient in the use of project management systems such as Primavera or MS Project and will be responsible for providing in-depth assistance troubleshooting, and maintenance of construction, manufacturing, engineering, project analytics, and other types of production schedules.  The solution analyst will likely at any time support multiple projects across multiple business units.

Duties And Responsibilities

• Assist in the development and/or maintenance of complex scheduling scenarios by:
• Reviewing, suggesting, and/or modifying work breakdown structures to accurately capture budgets, costs, and effort
• Identifying, suggesting, and or modifying predecessor or successor relationships to accurately reflect dependencies and the critical path
• Reviewing, suggesting, and/or modifying project, resource, and activity calendars to accurately estimate and capture duration.
• Reviewing, suggesting, and/or modifying activity constraints to assure project schedules reflect known requirements, dependencies, and obligations
• Reviewing, suggesting, and/or modifying resource or role assignments, rates, and units to accurately reflect budgets, costs, and effort.
• Provide direct functional support as a subject matter expert in the configuration and use of the    Oceaneering EPM system.
• Perform or assist the execution and troubleshooting scheduling and summarization routines and operations
• Perform or assist the execution and troubleshooting of resource leveling routines or other resource allocation adjustments and reconciliations.
• Assist in maintaining the integrity of operational, global and enterprise level data within the EPM
• Assist in the configuration, setup, and support of the EPM implementations across the whole of Oceaneering
• Assist in configuration, setup, and support of project Analytics (Power BI)
• Assist in the configuration, setup, and support of Project Timesheet application (eTimeMachine), Smartsheet Project Management application, Microsoft Project and User License Audits.

Qualifications

This position requires 3 years practical on the job experience in critical path (CPM) scheduling and planning as well as proficiency in the use of project management software. A certification in project management methodologies such as the Project Management Professional (PMP) or Prince2 is highly desired but not required.  A demonstrable understanding of standard project management methodologies and best practices is required.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics

• WORK:  3 years practical on the job experience in critical path (CPM) scheduling and planning as well as proficiency in the use of project management software such as Microsoft Project, Smartsheet etc.
• Equipment: Computer Literate (Essential)
• Software: This position requires proficiency in the use of office productivity software (i.e. word processing, spreadsheets, and presentation), and MS Project or other project management software.  Experience with Primavera P6 Version 20.12.10 Professional and P6 web is required. Proficiency with analytic tools such as Power BI to create project Dashboards is preferred.  Experience with project timesheet software eTimeMachine as time capture for Primavera projects is preferred.
