Duties And Responsibilities

Fixed Term 3 Months - Start Date 25/4/2026


To ensure the integrity and safety of bolted flange joints in pressure systems within an onshore LNG plant environment. This includes conducting inspections, verifying compliance with standards, and overseeing proper assembly and disassembly procedures during construction, commissioning, shutdowns, and operational phases.
 

Functions
ESSENTIAL
 

  • Perform inspections of piping systems, static equipment, and flange joints in cryogenic and high-pressure LNG service areas.
  • Verify flange serration surface condition, gasket type, and bolt specifications against LNG plant engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Ensure correct tools and torquing methods (manual, hydraulic, tensioning) are used during flange assembly, considering LNG-specific materials and conditions.
  • Review and implement Flange Management procedures aligned with LNG plant safety and operational standards.
  • Maintain QA/QC documentation in accordance with ASME PCC-1, B16.5, and LNG plant-specific protocols.
  • Sign off Flange Management Tags and ensure traceability of flange joint activities across LNG process units.
  • Ensure all work complies with HSSE policies, site permitting procedures, and LNG plant safety codes.
  • Participate in Task Risk Assessments (TRA) or Last-Minute Risk Assessments (LMRA) for flange-related activities.
  • Coordinate with discipline leads, planners, and contractors for daily inspection schedules during LNG plant operations and shutdowns.
  • Report daily progress and inspection results to supervisors and update reporting systems.
  • Assist in training junior inspectors and technicians on LNG-specific flange management procedures.
  • Supervise contractor activities related to flange management and ensure adherence to standards.

Qualifications

REQUIRED
 

  • Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • TSCS 1.2 Qualified Bolting and Flange Joint Integrity Specialist 
  • Minimum 5 years in mechanical inspection, turnaround, or maintenance in oil & gas, petrochemical, or LNG facilities.
  • At least 3 years specifically in flange management and bolted joint integrity within LNG or cryogenic service environments.
     

DESIRED
 

  • ASME PCC-1 and EN 15914 competency certification.
  • API 510, API570, API563 or equivalent
  • CSWIP 3.2.2
